Brand Strategy / Repositioning

Brand Strategy and brand repositioning

We define what your brand stands for, who it speaks to and how it will compete.

What it is like for you

You sit at the table where the big decisions are made. We bring the evidence and the options; you and your leadership team choose. You leave with a position you can explain in one sentence and defend with conviction.

Brand Strategy turns the findings of the diagnosis into decisions. It defines what the brand stands for, who it speaks to and how it will compete - and, for established companies, how it needs to be repositioned without losing what already works.

At a glance

  • Phase: 2 of 5
  • Focus: positioning, audience, promise and brand architecture
  • You get: a brand strategy your team can use to take decisions
  • Next: Brand System

What we define

  • Positioning. The place the brand will hold in the market and in the minds of its customers, written as a clear brand positioning statement.
  • Audience. The people the brand is for, what they need and what will make them choose it.
  • Promise and personality. What the brand commits to and how it behaves and sounds.
  • Brand architecture. How products, services or companies relate to each other under one brand or several.

What you get

A brand strategy your team can use to take decisions: a clear positioning, the core message and the principles that will guide the identity and every piece of communication.

New brands and repositioning

For new brands, strategy decides how to enter the market and in what order to reveal the promise. For existing brands, it decides what to protect, what to update and how to bring fragmented parts together.
